Arriva North West Runcorn Depot

The MAN Eco Citys have started to enter service, noted so far is 5010, 5011 and 5016.

Wright Renown 2726 has been Withdrawn from service due to a fault, 2705 and 2723 are due to return to the pool in the next few days aswell.

I have heard today that Runcorn Depot might be due to close in the near future, The X30 is to move over to Chester in the next few weeks, The X1 branded Pulsars are said to be getting route branding for this with the new MAN Eco Citys replacing them

An update to what i posted, the X30 is moving to Chester, the 110 to St Helens with the remaining routes staying at Runcorn but will be an outstation to Speke

With the 110 coming to St Helens, Arriva have good opportunity to extend the route to St Helens replacing the 329 between St Helens and Warrington. I doubt they would do it though.

All this is dependent on the bridge tolls though so don't take for granted just yet as there gonna see what it cost the depot to operate over the toll bridges.

Be interesting to see if the rogue VDL Wright Pulsar 2 MX09EKP at Chester is branded for the X30 bearing in mind this wears the old Sapphire livery at present and of course if this all comes about.

More of the MAN Eco City's have entered service, just spent a couple of hours at Halton Lea and noted the following:

5010 - 82A
5011 - X1
5012 - 82A
5014 - 79
5017 - 82A
5018 - 82A

Also of note Volvo B10BLE Wright Renown 2705 is still in use and on the 110 today

Cadets 2520/2521/2523 and 2524 are now based at Rhyl

It is now confirmed that the X30 will transfer to Chester Depot on the 29th October

5015 out in service today on the 79c

Arriva have announced their revised service changes for when the new bridge opens, highlights include most 82A Services getting cut back to operate Liverpool - Widnes and a new evening 110 Service between Runcorn and Widnes and the daytime service frequency going up to every 15 minutes

Seems Arriva have changed their plan for the 110 from when the new bridge opens, Here is what was posted on Facebook:

SERVICE UPDATE: Changes to services in #Runcorn and #Widnes - After further clarification on the roadwork network available to us, we have revised our original plans for route 110 to be able to serve Castlefields and Astmoor (Eddison Road)

Arriva Runcorn are to keep the X30, going back onto the North West License on 21st Jan
